The Kairios Library was founded in 1987 and holds approximately 45,000 printed volumes, manuscripts, extensive historical records, works of art, objects of historical value and popular culture.
Today the entire neoclassical mansion building "House of Michalis E. Kydonieus" belongs to Library and serves multiple purposes. First houses part of the collections (rare editions of books, unique paintings, antique furniture and various other objects of popular culture that occasionally have donated Andros), while operating since July 2002 as an exhibition space.
